HyperNet was one of the several message networks that Barnyard
hosted. What makes HyperNet have special significance is that I created
HyperNet and Barnyard was the main hub of the network.
Networks of BBS's allowed people to interconnect with each
other, similarly to what the internet does today. HyperNet hosted message
bases that were available to all users (on all sites) and games where users
could compete against each other.
When reading the Message
Archives, you will see many of the messages bases were networked.
Message networks like HyperNet really broadened the exposure that you had to
other people and information.
